About the Product:
Energy Science Kit Series present the Solar-H2 Inspiration Kit, a simple setup kit for quick learning and understanding on Solar-Hydrogen Concept--a zero carbon emission and full renewable energy system.
The kit used a single cell reversible PEM fuel cell with 1-Watt monocrystalline PV for the demonstration on solar-electrolysis process. During the process, both generated hydrogen and oxygen gases are collected and stored in a 30 ml storage containers.
With the filled hydrogen and oxygen gases in the storage containers, the same reversible PEM fuel cell can directly supply electricity to the motor with mounted fan. The setup is a simple step by replace the monocrystalline PV to the motor with mounted fan.
Kit Contents:
The kit consists of:
- a single cell reversible PEM Fuel Cell
- 2-units of 30 ml storage containers for hydrogen and oxygen
- 1-unit of monocrystalline PV
- Fan mounted on a dc motor with stand
- tubings and wires with plugs
Electrolyser Function:
When applying an electrical current, the device acts as an electrolyzer that produces hydrogen and oxygen from de-ionized water. In this case, the electrolyzer function is powered by solar panal.
Fuel Cell Function:
When applying a load, the device behaves as a fuel cell and generates electricity from hydrogen and oxygen.
In this case, the load is a fan mounted on a dc motor.
Other Informations:
Its electrolyzer function can use power from solar cells, miniature wind turbines, batteries or mechanical hand cranks. Perfect for school science labs, classroom use or demonstration purposes.
